'When We Are Married' by J B Priestley (best known nowadays for 'The Inspector Calls') is social comedy at its sharpest. In the early 1900s, three highly respectable Yorkshire couples are celebrating their wedding anniversaries - until they discover that they are none of them legally married. The way they deal with this crisis is touching, infuriating, fascinating and very, very funny.
The current revival at The Donmar Warehouse has had great reviews.
